At the intersection of Harry Smith’s Old Weird America – the songs of heart worn highways and the tumult of today you can find the music of Luke Callen. The songs equal parts tragic comedy and hopeless reverie paint a picture of the places and people that make up his earthly home. A poet, a player, a folk singer, Luke has traversed this country unraveling tall tales, short tunes, and all that’s hidden underneath.
Originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin and currently living in Minneapolis, by way of Colorado, Luke brings his humble sense of humor and humanity wherever he may go. His last two solo albums – I’ll Take it With Me (2017) and below your knows (2019) reach from the ethereal to the eternally real whimsical walks in the out of doors to hopelessness and heartache and everything in between.
Luke has played hundreds of shows across the U.S. You can follow his travels on Facebook, Instagram, at www.lukecallen.com or in real actual life.
Hailing from La Crosse, WI, TUGG has done an amazing job channeling tropical grooves and breezy melodies and has quickly become a top draw in the Midwest and beyond. Coming from a state known more for the Green Bay Packers, cold weather, and cheese, they boast an impressive resume of rubbing shoulders with reggae heavyweights. From shows with Ziggy Marley, Barrington Levy and Slightly Stoopid to Tours with The Wailers, The Dirty Heads, and PASSAFIRE…
TUGG continues to prove why they’re a fast rising star of the alternative reggae/ska scene. All of the bands last 5 releases have debuted in the Top 50 of the iTunes Reggae Chart. Their 2012 EP “Home Brew” climbed all the way to #2 and spent 3 weeks in the Hot 100 iTunes Reggae Album Chart. Their 2013 album “Mazes” was recorded and produced by PASSAFIRE’S Ted Bowne.
